Scott Padgett
Scott has been the executive director of the Miss Dallas Scholarship Organization since 2017 and was the co-director from 2014 until 2017. Scott has been featured on Good Morning America and is a 9 time Emmy nominated broadcast meteorologist. He’s in his 27th year sharing his love of meteorology as the Chief Meteorologist at CBS11 in North Texas.
Scott has volunteered with the Miss America Organization since 2006 as a local board member, emcee, and a local and state judge.
Scott also was a featured soloist with the Miami Gay Men’s Choir, college cheerleader, has competed in Pro-Am ballroom dancing.
When asked why Scott continues to volunteer with the Miss America Organization he said “I believe these dynamic candidates are the role models our youth need today. I see this as a mentorship program and my goal is to help each title holder grow throughout their year and tap into their highest potential.”
Christopher Long
Originally from Arkansas, Christopher has been active with Miss America Organization for more than 25 years and has been on the MDPC board for twelve years. He has worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years, most recently as VP of Marketing with skilled nursing, memory care and assisted living communities in Texas and Oklahoma. Christopher has a Bachelor of Science degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from UT Southwestern Allied Health School in Dallas, Texas.
Brandy Jordan
Brandy has served on the DPC board for six years and enjoys helping the candidates prepare for all phases of competition. A former competitor and dancer, she loves supporting the young ladies' pursuit of their best self, helping them earn valuable scholarships along the way. She previously worked in the medical sales industry before making the decision to spend more time at home raising her two sons and daughter.
Beth LePla
Beth is an educator with thirteen years of experience in urban education. Beth is originally from Michigan and enjoys summer trips to Lake Michigan with family. Her journey with the Miss America Organization began in college when she competed, and has continued since moving to Texas when she joined the DPC board of directors. Beth is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education from Saginaw Valley State University.
